Ladies Guild

Mission Statement


Our mission is to serve Christ by building a community of Christian women in our parish that will seek to provide support to one another, to the parish, and to the larger community by practicing good stewardship. By pooling our time, talents, and treasures, we can more clearly see and respond to the needs of our Christian community. More specifically, we seek to promote support and encourage:


a. Participation in Sacramental and Liturgical parish functions,

b. The spirit of Christian family within our parish and community,

c. the spirit of Christian stewardship in our parish and community,

d. Spirit of self-renewal through spiritual retreats, membership dries, and fundraisers,

e. Awareness of our Christian responsibility of citizenship through prayer and support of Catholic teachings.


Nativity Ladies Guild has a very active membership. We are involved in numerous events throughout the year. Below is a highlight of some of the activities the Ladies Guild is regularly involved in:


  • Financial and Spiritual support for Seminarians
  • Gifts for First Communicants and Confirmands
  • Correspondence to ill, homebound, and bereaved parishioners
  • Community outreach through Lenten gift cards and Thanksgiving basket programs
  • Lowcountry Pregnancy Center Banquet
  • Sewing Group
  • Partial scholarships for students from Nativity School attending Bishop England High School
  • Support to Nativity School and the Parish School of Religion
  • Support to the Parish Life Center
  • Fellowship through various social events (Creche Display, Pie Bake off, Oyster Roast, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.)
  • Coordinates receptions with other Nativity groups
